#21 - Andrew T. Miles

Episode Overview

Composer/pianist Andrew T. Miles is one whose musical style can be described in a number of ways, such as thought-provoking, introspective, head-scratching, somewhat avant-garde, and even funky at times. Since the age of 13, he has composed 70 of his own tunes, and he has no plans of stopping anytime soon. He has a long history of performing at multiple North Jersey open mic nights, but he’s also played at open mics in upstate New York and northeastern Pennsylvania, and co-headlined two concerts.

Being an oft-misunderstood soul since early youth, Andrew’s firm commitment to authenticity and individuality shows up in multiple aspects of his life, including his music. To know his music is to know him, and his music tends to have a philosophical bent, especially with titles like “Blinded by Eyesight”, “The Internal Pendulum of Misalignment”, “The Stentorian Silence of the Privileged”, among others.
